Welcome to St John Henry Newman Catholic Primary School

We are a new 630 pupil Catholic primary school at Aqua Drive, Hampton Water, Peterborough, due to open in September 2022.

The school will be the first state-funded Catholic school in England for more than 10 years and will be run by the Diocese of East Anglia.

We will initially open to reception, year 1 and year 2 pupils and will also have a 26 place nursery. The opening date for the nursery will be the same as for the main school. The exact first day will be confirmed.

The planning application for the new school received full approval from Peterborough City Council on 18th June 2021. Work has started on site to create the haul road for construction traffic and to erect fencing and hard-standing areas for the contractor’s welfare facilities. Once these are completed, work will start on the foundations for the school. The building modules for the school will start to arrive on site in early September 2021.
